One of the co-founders of AdHoc studio has confirmed that the remarkable success of Dispatch has forced the development team members to “think” about making a second season of the game.
2025 has been full of amazing games so far, but most of the titles that have been among this year’s highlights are those that none of us really expected. Among these surprises are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Arc Raiders; however, if we consider success and impact, the biggest surprise of the year is undoubtedly Dispatch.
Since the release of the first two episodes in the past few weeks, Dispatch has quickly become a hot topic among users. Given this widespread reception, it was expected that AdHoc studio would consider making a second season of the game, which its developers finally addressed in a new interview.
AdHoc co-founders, Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette, recently appeared on The Friends Per Second podcast. During the conversation, they were asked what their plans were for their next project after the success of Dispatch.
In response, Shorette explained that they had previously announced a project in the world of Critical Role’s Exandria, but the success of Dispatch has led the studio to at least consider making a second season of the game. According to him, three weeks ago such a possibility was merely a question mark, but now that the game’s sales have exceeded 1 million copies, this possibility has become much greater.
He said:
I think now we should at least think about season two as well.
Although this news is very promising for fans of the game, Shorette’s answer indicates that a final decision on making a second season has not yet been made, and currently no activity is being done in this regard. It seems that if Dispatch Season 2 is actually made, there will be a long time until its release.
