Assassin’s Creed Shadows Update Transforms Beloved Series Feature
Ubisoft brings advanced parkour and new challenges that will uncover ancient secrets to Assassin’s Creed Shadows with two major updates.
According to GamingBolt: Alongside the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ release for Nintendo Switch 2, Ubisoft also unveiled two new updates for this open-world action RPG. The first update, Parkour Update 2, will be released on October 28 and adds a new option called Advanced Parkour to the game.
Transforms Beloved Series Feature
This feature removes the limitations of Side Eject and Back Eject, allowing players to perform their moves from any height. Even if this mode is not active, the main parkour system also comes with fundamental changes, including the ability to grab ledges on non-standard objects and the addition of the Directional Ledge Catch feature for more precise control on vertical paths.
But this is only part of the new content for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Corrupted Castles will soon be added to the game; harder versions of castles you have previously captured, this time with new challenges, strange phenomena (Anomalies), and new enemies with Samurai Daisho armor. Each season will include five such castles.

The next update, Title Update 11, will be released on November 25 and includes a special collaboration and a new mission called A Puzzlement; a humorous stage that, according to Ubisoft, revolves around old enemies.
This update also adds new features to the game, including non-lethal kills for Yasuke and Naoe’s special version of the famous War Kick. Additionally, players will encounter a new environmental puzzle that, according to Ubisoft, “may hold the answers to some old questions from the fan community.” Ubisoft has also promised special holiday rewards and free items.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is currently available for Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and the game will be released on December 2, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch 2 console. The Claws of Awaji DLC will also be released for this platform in 2026.
