Halo Infinite will soon receive its last major update
Halo Studios has unveiled Halo Infinite’s next major update, titled Operation Infinite, which will be the game’s final major content release. This decision was made to focus on new projects.
Halo Studios stated in a press release:
“Given the simultaneous development of multiple projects from the Halo franchise, it is no longer possible to fully focus on Halo Infinite. However, support for the game will continue. This support will not, however, come in the form of large content updates. Operation: Infinite will be the last major content currently planned.”
The Operation Infinite update will double the progression in Career Rank and the acquisition of Spartan Points. Additionally, a new Operation, over 200 items in the Exchange, new maps for ranked mode, and more will be added to the game through this update.

Furthermore, a rotating set of daily challenges has been promised for 2026, and it appears this trend will continue into 2027. More information about Operation Infinite has been published on the official Halo Waypoint blog.
