How to play Lich
Hello,
Today I want to teach you how to play the hero Lich.
He’s a strong support, and if you’re a bit smart and learn his abilities quickly, you can get a lot of kills with this hero.
At the beginning of the game, don’t rush at all because Lich needs damage and his abilities, especially his Ultimate ability. So try to stay alive until you reach level 6 and help your team’s carry hero.

Let’s first take a look at the positive and negative aspects of Lich as a support.
Pros and Cons of Lich

- Doesn’t need mana; to gain mana, it’s enough to be near the creeps that are killed.
- Has high harassment power in the lane.
- High speed early in the game; just one pair of boots is enough for him.
Cons:
- Lich has very little health at the beginning of the game.
- Very low armor early in the game.
- Low attack damage.
Lich Hard support role at Dota 2 (Skills):
Alright, let’s move on to learning Lich’s abilities.
Frost Blast Ability:

- With this ability, you can deal damage to an enemy hero and their nearby units.
- In addition to the damage it deals, it reduces the enemy hero’s movement speed and attack speed for 4 seconds.
Frost Shield Ability:

- With this spell, you can create an icy shield on a target (your own heroes and creeps).
- As long as this icy shield is active, enemy heroes near the target have their movement speed reduced and also take some damage.
- This spell deals magical damage.
Third Ability: Sinister Gaze

- With this ability, you can pull an enemy hero toward yourself.
- If you attack or use another spell, this ability will be canceled.
- You can use this ability after casting your Ultimate, or you can use it to pull an enemy hero toward yourself or your tower so your teammates can attack that hero.
Now, about the Ultimate(Chain Frost) ability of the hero Lich:

- Chain Frost is an ice orb that Lich throws towards enemy heroes.
- This ice orb can bounce between targets up to ten times, and each time it bounces, it deals more damage than the previous bounce to enemy heroes.
- If it is thrown at a single hero, it only hits once.
- So try to use this ability when enemy heroes are grouped together so the ice orb can bounce more between them.
How to play Lich (Items you should buy):
Aghanim’s Shard:

- By purchasing this item, an ability called Ice Spire is added to Lich’s skill set.
- With this ability, you can create an ice spire in a designated area.
- This ice spire slows down enemy heroes within its range.
- Additionally, you can use Lich’s ultimate on the Ice Spire so that the ice ball bounces between the enemy hero and the Ice Spire, dealing damage.
Aghanim’s Scepter:

- The next item you should buy is Aghanim’s Scepter so you can upgrade the Sinister Gaze ability.
- Normally, this ability could pull a single enemy hero toward Lich, but after purchasing the Aghanim’s Scepter, you can pull all heroes within a certain area toward Lich.
- When using Lich’s Ultimate, this item is really useful for you.
Glimmer Cape

- The next item is a lifesaver.
- It’s incredibly essential for a support.
- You can use the Glimmer Cape to become invisible.
- You can use Glimmer Cape to escape from your enemies.
- You can also use Glimmer Cape when casting spells.
- You can even use this item on your teammates to make them invisible.
