Free Battlefield REDSEC game released + gameplay trailer
Electronic Arts has officially released the free-to-play battle royale game Battlefield REDSEC for all platforms. This game, like Warzone, is independent of Battlefield 6 and does not require purchasing the main version. Below, by watching the gameplay trailer, you can get a feel for the game, and you will find everything you need to know about this game in this article.
The gameplay is designed like other battle royale titles. One hundred players enter a vast map and, as two-person or four-person teams, must eliminate each other and ultimately escape this hell alive. Just like Warzone, you need to search for rare items and equip yourself to survive. But what features should we expect in Battlefield REDSEC?
Battlefield REDSEC Main Map
The main map of the game is called Fort Lyndon, which is the largest map in Battlefield history and is designed to be fully destructible. In other words, while we are dealing with a battle royale game, the foundations and essence of the Battlefield series remain. As a result, you will encounter the same tactical and destructive elements you are familiar with. There are a series of vehicles that can collapse buildings. You can use tanks or ride fighter jets, but to access these vehicles, you must first complete a series of missions, and it’s not as easy as just getting a tank.

Multiplayer classes like Assault, Engineer, and Recon exist in Battlefield REDSEC, and the more you play, the more you will upgrade these classes. But what modes or match types are designed to keep you entertained?
Gauntlet Mode

One of the most exciting modes is Gauntlet, where instead of 100 players, only 32 players enter limited areas of the overall map. In other words, 8 four-person teams are scattered across the map and will engage in faster matches. Electronic Arts says this mode is designed like a tournament, and teams must quickly complete a series of missions and advance on the map. Players have five minutes each time to complete a mission, and then the location of the next mission appears on the map. Achieving victory in this mode requires intense teamwork and speed.
Portal Mode
If you have experienced Battlefield 6, you are definitely familiar with Portal. Gamers use this mode to design creative and strange maps, but its nature differs in the battle royale section. Players can build some strange structures in the Portal section, but they don’t have complete freedom to build a map from scratch. You can see an example of this in the image above, where a strange structure has been built in the air, which looks more like GTA Online than Battlefield. Anyway, if you want, you can change the main map according to your preferences and build some strange structures.
Battlefield REDSEC Game Size
Battlefield REDSEC is not just a battle royale mode. Instead, we are dealing with a separate game that has its own technical support, as well as its own content, even beyond a battle royale game. The first season of this game started simultaneously with Battlefield 6, and you can start downloading it right now. The size of this game for PC and consoles is about 60 GB. However, if you do not download HD textures or graphic files, its size will be reduced to about 40 GB. The Battlefield battle royale game is available for download via Steam, the EA app, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Take a look at the Battlefield REDSEC gameplay trailer at the end:
