Steam players have welcomed Marvel Rivals’ zombie mode.
The latest statistics show that the number of Steam players for Marvel Rivals has increased after the addition of zombie mode.
In the latest gaming insider news, we read that the release of a new and exciting mode for Marvel Rivals has led to a significant increase in its Steam player count compared to recent times. This free-to-play multiplayer superhero arena shooter, initially released in December 2024, has maintained its popularity with strong developer support. The developers added two new characters, Daredevil and Angela, with the release of Season 4 to attract more players.
Marvel Rivals’ zombie mode

Although the player statistics for Season 4 did not reach the record 644,000 players of Season 1, it still kept Marvel Rivals on the list of most popular Steam games. Earlier this week, we saw a significant growth in Marvel Rivals’ Steam player count, similar to what has only been observed at the end of seasons. It appears that this growth in player numbers aligns with the release of the new zombie mode.
According to SteamDB, early last week, Marvel Rivals maintained its usual concurrent player count of between 75,000 and 80,000, which was due to the mid-season update and the addition of Daredevil. However, in the past three days, the concurrent Steam player count has seen a significant jump, reaching up to 120,000 players. According to SteamDB, the reason for this statistical surge is related to the addition of the new zombie and PvE mode, which is inspired by the Marvel Zombies comics and animated series.
In this mode, players control their characters to fight against hordes of zombies and defeat the powerful final boss with the help of their friends. Looking at Steam, it can be said that many Marvel Rivals fans are satisfied with the zombie mode experience and have praised it. Some others have also requested that this mode not be limited to the Halloween event and be permanently added to the game.
