Delta Force vs. Battlefield 6: Which is better?
In this article, we compare two popular games, Delta Force and Battlefield 6, to determine which one is more suitable for you and worth your time and money.
In a market dominated by big names, releasing titles that can compete with them is a risky and expensive endeavor. Naturally, such competition is only possible for large companies. An example of this is Delta Force, which is now owned by the Chinese software giant Tencent and developed by the creators of Call of Duty: Mobile to compete with titles like Battlefield.
Delta Force was released last year for PCs and mobile phones, two platforms that are more popular in China. A console version was also released recently after repeated requests from fans. Given that the game targets Battlefield fans, in this article we have tried to compare it with Battlefield 6 so that gamers can more easily decide between them.
Price and Monetization Method

One of the most important factors in purchasing a product is its price. Battlefield 6, as a major title that apparently cost hundreds of millions of dollars to develop and promote, is priced at seventy dollars. If you want to get the special edition, you have to pay one hundred dollars, which is a significant amount. This more expensive package, in addition to the base game, mostly includes cosmetic items such as skins for weapons and soldiers, and also provides full access to the Battle Pass in the future.
On the other hand, Delta Force is completely free, and the development studio has promised that the game will never become Pay to Win; meaning in-app purchases will only be for cosmetic items, and you can access everything related to gameplay simply by playing. This is very attractive, as long as you don’t intend to make in-app purchases.
As soon as you want to make a purchase, you will enter a rabbit hole of various mechanisms for endless purchases. The user interface also leads you into convoluted and complex menus that often end up with purchasable items. This monetization model is unfortunately common in free and mobile titles, which may be annoying for you. However, keep in mind that Delta Force, as a free title, does not require an online gaming subscription on consoles. But to experience Battlefield 6’s multiplayer modes, you also need to consider paying for Plus or Game Pass. Overall, it seems that those who do not want to pay exorbitant costs have a clear choice, and that is Delta Force.
Target Platforms

Both games are available on major platforms and support crossplay. However, Delta Force is more suitable for those who want to team up with friends. Buying Battlefield 6 does not mean your acquaintances will also be able to do so. Delta Force is easier to recommend to others because it is free.
Furthermore, the game, with all its features, is also available on mobile phones. Of course, mobile phones cannot play with PCs or consoles, but since the game has a Cross Save feature, your progress on all platforms is transferred to mobile and vice versa. In addition to very high graphics quality, the mobile version fortunately also has excellent optimization, and mid-range mobile phones can run it.
Another point is that, unlike many other service-based titles, Delta Force has many fans worldwide. Although several months have passed since the game’s release, nearly two hundred thousand people play it daily on Steam alone. Of course, Battlefield 6 also has hundreds of thousands of concurrent gamers, but since we are still in its initial release period, it is unclear whether this number will be maintained in the future.
One strange thing is that even now, with Battlefield 6 servers being flooded by enthusiasts, some less popular competitive game modes are filled with AI or Bots, which is not a pleasant experience. Overall, in terms of accessibility, Delta Force is slightly ahead.
Multiplayer Section Review

Both games focus on competitive multiplayer. Some even consider Delta Force a copy of the Battlefield series. But the truth is, these two have significant differences. Before talking about multiplayer game modes, you should know that both titles put you into four-person squads, and each player can choose one of four classes. The classes in both titles are named similarly and have similar functions.
The main difference is that each Delta Force class has several different operators, and their number increases with new seasons. Operators, in addition to their class functions, also have unique abilities. But in Battlefield 6, you can only change their skin. Which of these two classification methods is more appealing depends on the audience’s taste. Battlefield takes a more realistic approach to war, while Delta Force operators show interesting but fictional powers.
Regarding multiplayer modes, Battlefield currently includes various options, though most fans play Conquest and Breakthrough. These two focus on large battlefields with heavy armored equipment and many simultaneous players. You must strive to capture or defend different points on vast maps. Similar modes are also found in Delta Force, depicting chaotic war scenes.
A significant part of Battlefield 6 is the Portal section, where people can create and share all kinds of competitive or even single-player scenarios and maps with the various tools available to them. On the other hand, Delta Force offers a PvPvE section called Operations. This section is built on the Extraction style, which will be attractive to fans of this genre.
Story Mode Comparison

The Delta Force story mode is essentially a remake of the old Black Hawk Down version, which itself was based on a movie of the same name. The structure of the remade version is also like a classic first-person title. This means there aren’t many cinematic and exciting cutscenes in the middle of missions. You probably know that modern shooter titles are designed so that the gamer doesn’t get bored as much as possible. But Delta Force is completely ruthless and doesn’t even have an in-mission save feature.
You must conserve bullets and plan every step. The Delta Force story mode, which narrates the American forces’ attack on Somalia, is so difficult that it can almost only be completed in co-op multiplayer. On the other hand, Battlefield 6 is a completely modern and cliché title where characters’ health automatically regenerates. Here, missions are full of explosions and stunning animations, and you won’t face any particular challenge until the end. Battlefield 6 missions are designed to familiarize you with the available classes and equipment, and unlike Delta Force, they portray war as something fantastical and rhetorical.
The excessive difficulty and old gameplay of Delta Force can be frustrating for modern gamers, but for older players, it’s a kind of nostalgia. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 missions are somewhat similar to the Call of Duty series, which also has many fans. Both games have their specific audience, and it cannot be said which one is superior in terms of story.
Graphics and Technical Aspects

The technical and artistic level of a work and how much it can immerse the audience might not be important in some works. But when it comes to simulating battlefields, these issues become doubly important. Without a doubt, Battlefield 6 is a cut above the competition in this regard. This work was developed with EA’s proprietary engine, which incidentally performs better for the first-person shooter genre.
Perhaps in Battlefield, one can find graphical bugs like the sun being too bright, but when you step onto the battlefield and see the stunning details of 3D models and the effects of explosions and environmental destruction, you will definitely be mesmerized. On the other side of the story, Delta Force is built with two different base engines. The multiplayer section is developed with the Unreal Engine 4 base engine, and the separate story section is developed with the fifth version of this software. Therefore, the two games are visually different from each other. The story mode has better graphics technically and is completely realistic artistically. But both of these sections have little to say against Battlefield’s engaging atmosphere.
Especially since Battlefield 6 has implemented more extensive details in terms of physics and environmental interaction. The final point is that the multiplayer section of Delta Force includes strange skins, sensitivity to which has increased recently. This is an issue that is currently absent in Battlefield 6, and soldiers and weapons have a greater resemblance to the real world.
Which one is better after all?

The answer to the question we raised is that it depends on you. Everything is related to your taste, budget, and approach to video games. These two works are similar at their core but have numerous differences in what they ultimately offer. Both are good products that may entertain you for hours and perhaps stay on the platform you have access to for a long time, and one day you will probably move on to a different game.
If you have the opportunity to get both games, it is better to experience them yourself and see which one is more appealing to you. If you are a die-hard fan of the Battlefield series, Delta Force probably cannot change your mind that easily, although it is certainly considered a worthy competitor.
